# workbench__save_artifact

> Saves the draft in the pane to the project.

## Behavior

* A plan goes back to the file it came from, or into the plans directory when it's new.
* A tool must pass a test run first, unless `untested` is true.
* Replacing an existing agent or tool file needs `overwrite`.

## Input

**kind** `enum\<string\>` *required*

What the draft is

Available options: `plan`, `agent`, `tool`

**overwrite** `boolean`

Agents and tools: replace an existing file, only after the user confirms

**untested** `boolean`

Tools only: save without a test run, only when the user said not to test it
