# builtin__describe_tools

> Describes the named tools, in order, with their schemas and output shapes.

* Each entry has the name, description and score.
* With `schemas` (the default), adds the input schema and the declared or observed output shape.

## Input

**schemas** `boolean`

Include schemas and output shapes; default true

**tools** `any[]` *required*

Tool names, or objects with a `name` and optional `score`

## Output

**tools** `object[]` *required*
