# Native tools

> Tools built into graph that any agent or plan step can call, with no pack to enable.

* Always in the catalog under `builtin__`, like the [built-in tools](/tools/reference/builtin-tools), but implemented inside graph.
* The built-in plans (`compose_plan`, `search_tools`) and the drafter agents are built on them.
