# graph_plan_step_update

> Changes one step's `tool`, `input` or `reasoning`.

* To rename a step, use `graph_plan_step_rename`.
* Mirrors `graph plan step update`.

## Input

**attribute** `enum\<string\>` *required*

Available options: `tool`, `input`, `reasoning`

**id** `string` *required*

**target** `string` *required*

A plan identifier (as in `plan list`) or a path to a plan YAML file.

**value** `any` *required*

A string for `tool` and `reasoning`; a JSON object for `input`.
